Sunday Worship
Sunday Service is at 10:00 AM at the American Legion Hall (on
top of Craig's Hill in Ellensburg). If you have any questions,
call (509) 933-2500. Hope to see you there!
You are welcome to come “just as you are” to the
Great Round-Up Covenant Church! Some folks come in their jeans
and boots. Others come a bit more dressed up. It’s not
what’s on the outside of the person that makes him or
her “acceptable” to the Lord. God is looking on
the heart.
“But the hour is coming, and now
is, when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such
to worship Him.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit
and truth.”
John 4:23-24
Sunday services are a bit informal. The coffee is always on.
And during the winter months there is a large wood stove to
warm up to as you come in from the cold.
Our praise music is Christian Country in style, with more of
a contemporary style worship. And, we love the hymns, although,
they may sound a little different the way we do them.
The first Sunday of the month is what we call “Chuckwagon
Sunday”. That is simply a “potblessing” Sunday
with dinner on the grounds. All are invited to stay, eat some
great food, and make new friends. During the summer months,
we will often fire up the BBQs and eat out on the grounds.
Sometimes we will bring our horses to church with us, and after
service go for a ride up the John Wayne Trail, or ride in the
arena. Some Sundays we bring ponies to church so that young
children who don’t have ponies at their house get to go
for that special ride!
Nursery is provided for babies and children up to four years
old. Sorry, we don’t have children’s church yet….that
is included in the next phase of our development. Please note,
however, that Pastor Jeff seems to hold the attention of those
from four to 104 …..and so we don’t notice too many
wiggles from the kids.
We try to start at 10:00 AM, but sometimes by the time everybody
says their “howdys” and gets a cup of coffee, we’re
sometimes running a few minutes late. It’s kind of the
“church” before church. Fellowship is important,
too.
And, if you come needing some special prayer, we are always
willing and happy to take your needs before the throne room
of God. We have seen Him meet many needs over the years, and
no need is too big or too small.
