What
is a Secret Sister?
Secret Sisters is a ministry in which ladies have the opportunity
to minister secretly to other ladies in the church by praying
for them, writing encouraging notes, giving small gifts, and
simply befriending them. Who
can be involved?
Secret Sisters is open to all ladies 18 years and older.
How can I be involved?
Twice a year we hold a "Secret Sisters Fellowship"
in which former Secret Sisters are revealed and new ones are
chosen. During these fellowships, ladies who wish to be involved
can fill out a form. During the evening all the forms are collected
and exchanged. The lady you choose that night will be your responsibility
to minister to for the next six months. You will be her "Secret
Sister." What if I cannot
come to a fellowship?
At the back table of the church there is a place where Secret
Sisters can place gifts,
cards or notes. On the table is a basket containing Secret Sister
forms. You can fill
out one of these forms at any time and give it to one of the
ladies in charge. They will find you a Secret Sister.
Two Important Things
A. The main purpose of the program is to uplift your Secret
Sister in prayer daily. If someone is unable to complete the
half year, they should contact the organizers so that her sister
is taken care of in her absence.
B. Send cards, notes, gifts to your Secret Sister so that she
knows that you're remembering her. It doesn't need to be extravagant,
just something to let her know that she is in your thoughts.
Girl's Night Out
Once a month we have what we call a “Girl’s Night
Out!” We have been known to watch “chick flicks”,
cry, eat chocolate, pray, do scrapbooking, etc. We are learning
how to Christian Country line dance. You don’t have to
be a Secret Sister to participate. It is for all women. The
fellowship and support of sisters in the Lord has strengthened
each one of us.

Secret Sisters

"Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the bones."
Proverbs 16:24
"A wise woman builds (equips, encourages,
blesses) her house (her household, her family), but the foolish
woman tears it down with her own hands."
Proverbs 14:1
"Finally, brethren, whatever things
are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever
things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there
is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things."
Philippians 4:8
